--- --- APWORKSHOP.COM.AU We sell workshop tools for working with wood and other materials. This website has been set up primarily to offer the large range of industrial router bits and cutters manufactured by Carb-I-Tool of Australia. Our main customers are small to medium industrial or professional concerns as well as craftspeople and hobbyists active in furniture making and similar pursuits. Specials and discounts may be offered for online and quantity purchases, available to anyone. Our business began in Melbourne in 1998, mainly focussing on export markets via the Internet. Our experience of selling via the web has built on that, and we operate several 'niche' website businesses for specific interests. Some formalities about our business are on the Contact Us page. Carb-I-Tool has been the premier Australian manufacturer of carbide router bits since 1974. Despite considerable growth over the years, and having one of the largest catalogues of router bits in any market, it is still a privately held family company. For more information see the About Us page Carb-I-Tool manufactures primarily for industrial use, not for the consumer market. If you are in industry you can be assured that our bits are proven in the demanding environment of CNC and other automated machining applications for the toughest composite materials and timbers. If you are a hobbyist you have the assurance that if industrial users appreciate Carb-I-Tool's durability and cost/performance benefits, then so will you. All Carb-I-Tool brand carbide-tipped, carbide insert and solid carbide router bits are made in the company's factory in Moorabbin, Melbourne. Some other products are sourced from external manufacturers but carry the full Carb-I-Tool warranty and after-sales service. There are some very good router bits on the market and many not-so-good ones. Carb-I-Tool is among the best because of the quality of its materials (turned steel rod and carbide tips - both premium quality and made in Australia) and its attention during design and manufacture to the function and durability of the tool. Conversion to anti-kickback design is almost complete (where relevant) across the whole range. We consider shipping and storage important. The bits come in a durable plastic pouch ideal for keeping them lightly oiled, away from moisture, and safe from harm. Delivery within Australia is by Australia Post, either ordinary parcel post or express. We dispatch stock items same day when possible. Factory stock might take about an extra 4 days to dispatch. Delivery within Australia by post depends on location; by express it's overnight to most major centres. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Bankcard (sorry, no Diners or Amex ) and payment can be made via our secure online ordering system. Note that many credit card providers now give a guarantee to you if you use your card for online purchases. Bank cheques or money orders, etc, are also OK. Just consult with us before making the arrangements. We do not ask for or retain any information about you other than what is necessary to complete your order quickly and securely (for both of us). We do not store or retransmit any sensitive information (e.g. credit card numbers) except in a secure environment. We value your privacy and security as much as we value our own. Yes, you are most welcome to phone or fax us. The details are given on the Contact Us page. ![]()
