About Carb-I-Tool

Carb-I-Tool is a leading manufacturer of precision Workshop routing, shaping and cutting tools. The company's headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in Moorabbin, (Melbourne) Australia.

Manufacturing Manager, Stephen Hamilton reviews a CAD specification.
Carb-I-Tool router bit designs begin here at the factory's CAD design centre. The range has been redesigned to incorporate the latest anti-kickback features, with stability at high rotational speeds and super-sharp carbide tips for smooth and long-lasting use on the hardest materials.
Carb-I-Tool's investment in CNC (computerised numerical controlled) equipment ensures its commitment to world-class manufacturing standards in cutting tool quality.

General Manage Trevor Lowe demonstrates an ANCA TGX.

Inside the "precise fury" of the ANCA TGX: a bit is ground and polished.
The pride of the factory are two Australian-made ANCA TGX 5-axis tool and cutter grinders - some of the most advanced of their kind anywhere in the world.

Under full computer control, the ANCA TGXs provide the finish which justifies Carb-I-Tool's reputation in the industry as makers of tough, precision router bits.

There is, however, one area of the manufacturing process which remains labour-intensive at Carb-I-Tool. "One of the keys to a quality bit is a perfect braze free of air bubbles to seal the carbide tip to the body", says Trevor Lowe. "Skilled operators are still the best way to ensure that; although as soon as automated brazing technology is proven we will adopt that too".

Quality control takes place at all stages of the manufacturing process. Carb-I-Tool's reputation for design and production excellence guarantees satisfaction when you order router bits from AP.
AP Workshop holds all popular Carb-I-Tool router bits in stock and this is backed by the extensive factory-warehouse holdings. Almost all orders are able to be dispatched, if not same day, then within a few business days.
